and How to Access Them
I’m sure we’ve all heard of some of the latest groundbreaking news in the world of science — Covid-19 vaccines, ChatGPT/AI technologies, record-breaking climate changes, and more. Standard news sources and broadcasts are a great way to explore scientists’ work in action and access recent information. (My personal favorites are the NYT for articles and the CNN nightly programs.)
In addition to these sources and their science spotlights/columns, many prominent scientific journals and magazines also publish latest advances in various research fields. Check out some sites to the right:
Subscribing to scientific journals — think Nature, Science, Cell, etc. — for regular issues is also a convenient way to keep up with ongoing research. And conveniently, many journals also offer an online format where research articles can be accessed through common databases such as Google Scholar or PubMed.
